We collaborated with The Honor Roll, here in Austin, to create this series of animated stories for the Austin Community Foundation. They debuted at the annual gala Somos Austin on May 2, and tell the stories of three Austinites impacted by the Hispanic Impact Fund. We’re thrilled to be part of the great work they’re doing to support the economic security and advancement of Hispanic families in Central Texas.
Sergio Rodriguez and Susan Espinoza, co-chairs of the Hispanic Impact Fund, describe how the Fund supports the economic security and advancement of Hispanics in Central Texas. A program of Austin Community Foundation, the Fund leverages the assets, resilience and strength of our Latino community to invest in nonprofit and social enterprise solutions.
Matt Cisneros, co-owner of Cisco's in East Austin, describes how the nearly 70-year old restaurant unites our community and how the Hispanic Impact Fund can help support current and aspiring business owners. A program of Austin Community Foundation, the Fund leverages the assets, resilience and strength of our Latino community to invest in nonprofit and social enterprise solutions.
Diane Marie Gonzales and Bryanna Janet Laborico, mother-daughter participants in Con Mi MADRE, open up about their journey living in Austin and the difference a college degree can make in a young person's life. In 2018, the Hispanic Impact Fund, a program of Austin Community Foundation, granted $50,000 to Con Mi MADRE's new parent engagement and leadership program.
